In the year of 1957 born Industria Automotriz, S.A. de C.V., as a company dedicated to the manufacture of trucks seats for Trailers de Monterrey, S.A. de C.V.

Before the possibility of being able to take part directly in the development of the Mexican automotive industry, and considering its original activities to be insufficient, in 1963 opens a new plant, which modern facilities turned it into the leader manufacturer of rims and wheels for truck in the country.  

Later, new equipment was joined for the manufacture of car's wheels; and later the machinery to more important Latin America plant of metal stampings. 

Immediately began the operations to make dies and tools and clicker presses, having been constituted like pioneering in the branch of manufacture of capitals goods.

In the year of 1957 began operations with the manufacture of truck seats for trucks and buses.

In the year of 1963 began to manufacture of automotive rims and wheels.   

In the year of 1965 began to manufacture stamping for vehicles for domestic and foreign markets.

In the year of 1967 began to manufacture panels.

In the year of 1970 began to manufacture fendera for the Ford Mercury Cougar.

In the year of 1975 began the stamping and assemblies for the pick up boxes for Chrysler of México.

In the year of 1976 began to manufacture the 85% of the stampings for the Renult-96 Body.

In the year of 1980 began to manufacture stamping and subassemblies for the Ford's Tilt Cab C series.

In the year of 1982 began to manufacture stamping and subassemblies for the Dodge D-600 truck for Chrysler of México.

In the year of 1984 began the stampings of several components for the Ford Mustang and Grand Marquis cars.

In the year of 1985 began the stampings of several parts for the VW Combi for the domestic market.

In the year of 1989 began the stamping and subassemblies for the front of the Dodge truck series D-600 of Chrysler of Mexico.  

In the year of 1991 began the stamping and subassemblies of the under carriage for the VW Beetle.

In the year of 1993 began to manufacture the front and rear bumper for the Mexican pick-up trucks for  Chrysler, General Motors and Ford.

In the year of 1994 began the stampings and subassemblies of hoods, doors, bumpers, and other components for the Dodge Ram Charger of Chrysler of  México, USA and  Canada.

In the year of 1995 began the stampings and subassemblies for the Opel Korsa and/or Chevy from General Motors for the domestic and foreign market.

In the year of 1996 began the stampings and the assemblies for the A-3 vehicles of VW of México.

In the year of 1998 began the stampings and assemblies for the concept one (New Beetle).

In the year of 1999 began the stampings for the A-4 vehicle from VW and we celebrate the opening of our new plant in the city of Tlaxcala.

In the year of 2000 began the stampings for the GMT 805 model from General Motors.
