Grupo Industrial Ramirez was born in 1946 with the modest aim to establish a facility destined to reconstruct Dry Van. Today it includes a diversity such of products, which proudly participates as support of the automotive industry, being constituted in an important work strength that manufactures terminal engines, like that as auto parts for original equipment and of the replacement market for the internal market, as for the foreigner, under the most strict procedure of quality. 

The pioneering company is Trailers de Monterrey, S.A. de C.V., initially dedicated to the manufacture of Dry  Vans. Later it incorporated into its lines of production the Ramirez brand trucks and the Sultana brand buses; later wrought products and mechanical groups.

Having the manufacturing of vehicles as a base and the confidence in the development of the national automotive industry, in the year of 1957 Industria Automotriz, S.A. de C.V. was founded, that came to satisfy the needs of the industry of auto parts regarding the manufacture of rims for cars and trucks, automotive stampings, assembly and subassembly.

In 1964 Berg of Mexico, S.A was founded to make systems of air brakes to being in use in heavy vehicles. And 1982 It change its name to Industrias Vortec, S.A., to reflect an image of high technology of a company in expansion, incorporating a line it for Dry Vans.

At the end of 1978, Grupo Industrial Ramirez, S.A. de C.V. was born as a company that controls all companies and then formalizes its organizational structure in 1981. Hereby the organizational concept of the group is established, which approach is the establishment of limits to follow through strategies and general laws that rules each one of the companies that forms the group.

Through all these years a whole generation of stout and capable men, have built their work and dynamism based on a philosophy where always the quality of all its activities and products is becoming the goal.

1970 begun the production of the fender for the Mercury Cougar for Ford USA
1975 Stamping and assembly of the Pick-Up Box for Chrysler of Mexico
1976 production of the 85 % of the stamped components for the auto body Renault-5
1980 Stamping and sub-assembly of the Tilt-Cab series C for Ford USA
1981 Consolidation of the group in the current form 
1982 stamping of the hood for the Dodge D-600 truck of Chrysler de Mexico
1984 Stamping of some components for the Ford Grand Marquis and  Mustang.
1988 Chassis assembly for the motor-home M-450 of Ford Motor Company
1991 Stamping and assembly of the frame for the Volkswagen Sedan
1993 Stamping for the front and rear bumpers for the Chrysler , GM and Ford Pick-up.

Partnership with Volvo GM Heavy Truck Corporation for the assembly of Class 8 Trucks.

1994 Stamping and assembly of doors, hood, fenders and other components for the RAM Charger of Chrysler de Mexico, USA and  Canada
1995 Stamping and assembly for the Opel Korsa of General Motors, domestic and for exportation.
1996 Partnership with Navistar International for the assembly of trucks models 4700, 4900 and 9200 Class 8.
1997 Partnership with Accuride to build Car and truck Wheels and rims.
1998

Stampings and assemblies for the new Volkswagen beetle and A-4 for Volkswagen.

1999 Stampings for the Volkswagen A-4, and opening of the new facility in Tlaxcala
2000 Stampings for the new GMT 805 from General Motors.
